This is just a question for any BRZ owners we have on here; does it take a lot of force to work the touchscreen? Like, a casual tap won’t do it; I had to really PRESS the screen to get buttons to work on the used one I drove.

If this is normal, eh, whatever; it’s tolerable. If it’s not, it’s something to mention to the dealer to get the price down and/or walk away.

Is the system in the BRZ Subaru’s or Scion’s?

It’s Subaru’s. The Scion’s have (ostensibly) a Pioneer unit. Subaru uses some brand that I can’t recall at the moment.

Yet another reason why to go with BRZ

Mine never took anymore force than what i use on my phone (basically none) to get it to work, but it refused to work whenever my gf tried to use it. I think it may have something to do with the amount of electrical charge you carry, but I really have no idea if this is true or not.

Why would you go with a BRZ if the OP is having a bit of a problem PRESSING his head unit? The Pioneer unit in the FRS worked a treat.
